BC refuses to support lasting solutions - now what?

The provincial government’s budget was released on Feb. 17th and there was absolutely no commitment for improving the harmful salmon farming industry; closed containment didn’t get a dime.

Write a personal note to BC Premier Gordon Campbell in the comment box below and it will be sent on line directly to his office. This is your chance to let him know you don't want to stand by while wild salmon runs go extinct and entire coastal ecosystems are put in jeopardy because of open net-cage salmon farms.

  • The neurotoxin SLICE is not a lasting solution to protect wild salmon from sea lice
  • Juvenile wild salmon will begin their migration to the ocean next month and they are as vulnerable as ever
  • Will the recommendations for changes from the latest government review sit on the shelf with all the rest?

The mountain of scientific evidence is only getting larger and it all shows changes are needed now. If the government refuses to support closed containment development, what are they going to do to protect wild salmon?

Please share your thoughts with the BC Premier below.

And thank you for taking the time to ask the tough questions!

Dear Recipient
